Individual therapy
Therapy that starts from your story, not a checklist.
Weekly or biweekly 45-minute sessions over secure video, for LGBTQIA+ adults in Virginia, Wisconsin, Texas, and New York.

Who this is for.
Queer adults who have experienced trauma, including complex childhood trauma, and are living with the emotional and relationship difficulties that follow. Neurodivergent queer adults. People navigating coming out, identity, or the weight of moving through the world as a minoritized person. People who want a therapist who is connected to and trained in the LGBTQIA+ community, so that part needs no explaining.
What we can work on
Depression
Low mood, numbness, and the days that feel heavier than they should.
Anxiety
Worry that will not switch off, and the body's part in it.
PTSD and trauma
Including complex trauma from childhood and from relationships.
Military sexual trauma
Care that understands the military context and the silence around it.
Life transitions
Coming out, breakups, moves, career changes, and the identity shifts that come with them.
Minority stress and identity
The cost of being queer or trans in a world that keeps asking you to prove it.
Relationships
Boundaries, trust, and the patterns trauma leaves behind.
Forty-five minutes that are yours.
We meet on a secure video platform. Early on, we spend time on your history and what you want to be different. From there, sessions are collaborative: self-compassion, mindfulness, values work, and honest conversation about how the world around you shapes what you feel.
Where I am not the right fit.
I am not the right therapist for people whose main concern is an eating disorder, active mania, or active psychosis. Because this is a virtual practice, I am also not the right fit for anyone who needs support staying safe between sessions. If that is you, the crisis lines on the resources page are a good next step, and I am glad to help you find the right care.
$250 per 45-minute session. Superbills for out-of-network benefits.
